A Day in the Life!

We spent the last week at the beach, Wildwood, NJ with Grammy and Pop-Pop, and the Moore family. It was a blast. The kids went to Morey’s Pier and had so much fun on the rides. We walked on the boardwalk and of course, went to the beach. We missed Sea Isle City so much that on the last day, we drove up the coast to visit good old Sea Isle and had ice cream at Yum Yums!! We can’t wait to be in Sea Isle in July!

This week has been so busy for Emma. On Monday, she had her gymnastics “Show Off”. She showed us all of the work she has been doing on the bars, balance beam and floor. On Thursday, she graduated from Preschool. It was exciting to know she is starting a new chapter, but at the same time, it was very sad. She will miss her friends, especially Alex and Jackson. During the ceremony, Emma performed a play, sang “Don’t Laugh at Me” and sang “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” in Spanish, English and Sign Language. It was so cute. She is done with preschool and very excited. I call her an In Betweener- in between preschool and kindergarten. Stay tuned for Emma’s 5th birthday news and Evan’s 1st Birthday!!! Time sure flies. This evening we are getting ready to watch Emma graduate from Preschool. She is so excited- don’t worry, we will put pictures on the site this weekend. She is registered for Kindergarten at St Anne’s in Lancaster. She is excited, nervous and sad to leave her friends at F & M. She constantly talks about missing Alex and Jackson. They are both going to different schools. Stay tuned for graduation updates.

Evan is turning 1 in a month. He is crawling, walking while holding on and starting to eat big boy food. He is finally sleeping through the night– HOOOORRRAAAYYY!! Just in time for summer. Evan and Gregory are signed up to take swimming lessons so stay tuned for some cute pics.

Hello everyone! Well, it is now St. Patrick’s Day and Evan got his first tooth! He was cranky on Saturday, Sunday he had a fever and Monday, the tooth popped! We were so excited. He was a little excited too!

We have been enjoying our Kensey Friday Night Pizza’s with Gregory, Matt and Jen. We discovered last week that Gregory and Evan weighed the same amount! Evan is trying to pack on the lbs but Gregory won’t let him pass!!! It has been so fun watch the two of them!

We just registered Emma for Kindergarten at St. Anne’s. She is a little nervous and doesn’t really want to go, but we know that will all change once it starts. She started gymnastics (following in her Aunt Sarah’s footsteps–oh no!!) and she loves it!

On Sunday, the family got together for the Baptism of Gregory Brian. It was fun watching Gregory during the ceremony. Doug and I are honored to be Gregory’s Godparents. We are definitely up for the challenge.  There are some new family pictures- a really cute one of Uncle Brandon “putting Evan to sleep”

Evan just went to the doctor’s for his 6 month check up! He weighed in at 16 lbs exactly. He is in the 25th percentile for his weight and the 40th percentile for his height.  Overall he is OK! He got 4 shots and wasn’t too happy yesterday.  Today he seems to be feeling better but he has a little fever.

Well, Christmas has come and gone and we are into the New Year! We have been very busy with Evan and Emma.  We originally thought it would be easier to update this site, but that isn’t the case.

Evan is now 6 months.  He is rolling over, laughing and loving life.  He is a joy to watch each and every day. It is so fun watching him discover new things. Evan started eating baby food and you can’t get it into his mouth fast enough.

Emma is 4 1/2 and can’t wait to turn 5.  Christmas was a blast.  She was so excited to come downstairs and see what Santa left her. She got everything she asked for and couldn’t be happier.

Family News:
Matt and Jen welcomed Baby Gregory on November 20th.  Emma is so excited to have a baby cousin for the first time. The other day she asked if she could go over to Matt and Jen’s to play with Gregory. 

Life is crazy, but we will try to update this page more often! For now, tootles………….

Aunt Kate and I took Evan and Emma to the Crayola Factory in Easton, PA.  It was a very long car ride but both kids were wonderful.  Evan slept and Emma played with her Leapster.  We got to color, make a bracelet (those of you attending Pop-Pop and Yvonne’s Wedding—–check out Uncle Brandon’s wrist ) and play in lots of water.  Emma had  a blast.  Evan slept through most of the trip and when he was awake, he smiled away!!!

 Evan went to the doctor’s for his 2 month check up the other day.  He is now 10 lbs 6 oz and 22 3/4 inches long.  He didn’t gain as much weight as they would have liked to see, so he has to go back in a month.  He has been eating like a champ since the appointment , so we will see.  Evan is still not sleeping through the night, but is getting a little better, for the most part.  One day this week he slept from 9:30 to 5:15.  We were SUPER excited.  It felt like I slept for days.

Emma just got over a double ear infection (her first one).  She was on an antibiotic and is much better. We just cleaned out her bins (yep, Grammy, we finally did it) and she decided she was too old for a few toys.  So we put a few in the basement, for now.  We are attempting to make room for Evan’s toys. 

Kate and Brandon set a date—August 1, 2008.  We are very excited. They asked Emma to be a flower girl.  She can’t wait to wear a pretty dress and get her hair done.  Emma may be pulling Evan down the aisle, but he may be walking by that time–hopefully!! Doug and I were honored to also be asked to be in the wedding.  It is going to be so  much fun planning and helping Kate and Brandon along the way!!!!

It has been a while since our last blog.  We have been so busy with Emma and Evan. Here are some of the latest updates:

Evan went to the doctors on Monday. He weighs in at 9 lbs 4 oz and is 21 3/4 inches long.  He is growing every day.  He isn’t sleeping through the night yet, but his sleeping pattern is getting better, for the most part.

Emma goes to preschool two days a week- Tuesday for Spanish and Thursday for Sprinkler Day.  She loves going to school because she has some great friends- Alex and Jackson.

On August 12th (our wedding anniversary) Evan was baptized.  His Godparents are Aunt Kate and a friend, Brandon Moore.  Both seemed very excited to be a part of Evan’s special day.  We were very happy to have these two wonderful people be such a special part of Evan’s life. 

 We recently took Emma and Evan to the Hershey Zoo.  Emma loved looking at the black bears and owls.  The Hershey Zoo has animals from North America, so no giraffes.  It was a great day. 

We will try to keep the page updated a little bit more. 

Family News- Brandon proposed to Kate and of course she accepted.  Now there is a wedding to plan in the near future.  We are all very excited for Kate and Brandon.
